How streaming, downloads, privacy, and device support work.

Why can a video still buffer?
UnBunkr opens several ordered CDN ranges at once to reduce per-connection throttling. It cannot create bandwidth when the source CDN is completely overloaded. If accelerated playback fails, the player automatically retries through the direct CDN route.
What is the difference between Fast download and Direct CDN?
Fast download combines several parallel ranges and preserves the original filename. Direct CDN skips the local accelerator and is useful as a fallback.
Which phones and browsers are supported?
The interface is optimized for current Android and iOS devices, including safe areas, touch targets, landscape video, and native mobile controls. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari are supported. MP4 with H.264/AAC has the widest playback compatibility.
Why does a file download instead of playing?
Some formats, such as MKV, AVI, or uncommon codecs, are not supported natively by every browser. The file remains available through Fast download even when an inline preview is unavailable.
Does UnBunkr bypass private albums or passwords?
No. Only publicly available content is supported. UnBunkr does not use private cookies, credentials, passwords, or access-control bypasses.
Does the server permanently store downloaded files?
No. Media is relayed in bounded chunks and is not saved as a permanent server-side copy.
